DAOI Talks (57): Qigong Fever, Dream Trippers, & More w/ Prof. David A. Palmer 🇨🇦

Prof. David Alexander Palmer is a professor of anthropology and religious studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is the author of several works, including Qigong Fever: Body, Science and Utopia in China and Dream Trippers: Global Daoism and the Predicament of Modern Spirituality with co-author Elijah Siegler. Along with Dr. Joseba Estevez and Martin Tse, he is a team leader of the Yao Dao Project, a research project documenting and preserving the centuries old Daoist religious traditions of the Yao Mun-Lanten Yao society, which inhabits the borders between China, Laos and Vietnam.
